These are just a handful of our installs

We install solar, battery storage and EV chargers for homeowners all the time, and only a few become full case studies. See more of our recent work in the gallery and on Instagram, or read what our customers say.

About our work

Home solar installations you can see

Each home on this page was surveyed, designed and installed by Sol4r Energy. The systems range from 8.19kWp to 20.2kW, and most are paired with battery storage so the household can use its solar power into the evening. Several also have an EV charger, so the car charges from the roof. Find out more about our residential solar services.

We install panels and batteries from trusted manufacturers including Sigenergy, Tesla Powerwall, FoxESS and Growatt, and every system is installed to MCS standards. Want a rough idea for your home first? Try our solar savings estimator or read our guide to going solar.

FAQs
What size solar system does a typical home need?
Most of the homes in our case studies have systems between 8kW and 14kW, but the right size depends on your roof and your energy use. We'll recommend a size after a free property survey.
Do I need a battery with my solar panels?
You don't have to have one, but a battery lets you store daytime generation and use it in the evening, when most households use the most power. Every home on this page has one.
Can I charge my electric car from solar?
Yes. Our Epsom, Sutton and Crawley customers all had an EV charger installed alongside their solar and battery system.
Can I get paid for the electricity I export?
Yes. Under the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG), energy suppliers pay you for surplus electricity you send to the grid from an MCS-certified system.
Is finance available?
Yes. Solar PV finance is available through Phoenix. Please check eligibility and terms with Phoenix directly.
